We stayed in one of the cottages. It had everything we needed and was a lovely little holiday home. The site was lovely, clean and tidy. But it was the friendly, welcoming but in no way intrusive hosts that made it a relaxing and special place to base our holiday.

We stayed at the roundhouse for a long weekend and although the weather was horrendous, the roundhouse more than made up for it. James who greeted us was very friendly. The roundhouse was an amazing place, we enjoyed the hot tub too - don't put too much wood in... it gets very very warm..! A very cosy place once you get the wood burner going, the bed was wonderful and furniture adequate for two and comfy enough. The out side cooking area was an experience for end of season and I imagine it would be a lot more pleasant during the warmer months, nevertheless it had everything you should need for a long weekend and didn't find myself wanting for anything. Make sure to check the tins inside... ;) overall a lovely weekend getaway that were looking to book again for late spring or summer.

Beautiful yurts, clean and tidy toilet block. The owners are lovely and try and help visitors mingle. There is a food sharing shelf were you can pick things you may have forgot to pack and leave things not used or finished with for others. A camp fire is lit each evening which visitors congregated around, kids loved it. Only snag, 2 toilets and showers but not a massive issue. And, the site is quite high up so it appeared wet but as you drive out 15 minutes away from the site it's lovely sunshine. Nearby there is a lovely cafe, Atlantic Way, Bude Farmshop, local cider, lovely cream tea's and meals. You do need a car however especially at night.

We've never done camping as a family and I'd never wanted too!!!!My wife talked me into a stay in a Yurt with the two kids 6 and 4, I've never had such fun, the Yurts are amazing and more spacious than you think, outdoor cooking was fun and toilets and showers clean. The kids had such fun in the evening's running around and playing with all their new friends and the nightly camp fire get together cooking marshmallows over the fire.We will definitely be back

We arrived as a family of 3 (2 adults, 1 8yo) in August for a week's stay in one of the yurts at this site. We were immediately impressed with the facilities and the welcome we received. The owners explained everything we needed to know, and made sure we knew where to find them if we needed anything else.The yurt itself was spacious, with plenty of room for the 3 of us, it would fit 4 comfortably. there was a double bed and 2 futons that can be used as single beds. A table with four chairs was also inside. All crockery, cutlery, and implements for cooking were provided. The wood-burning stove was only used briefly, but was well-maintained, and lit easily with the provided tinder and logs, warming the yurt very quickly, enough to quickly dry clothing that was wet through from the beach. A single electricity point was available.The yurt's platform also included an outside table with four chairs and parasol, and a kitchen area including a 3-ring gas stove and small fridge. On site were male / female toilet / shower areas, that were sufficient to never have queues while we were there, and hot water was available throughout the day. A washing up area at the reverse of the shower block had 2 sinks, with complementary washing up liquid and sponges in case anyone had been forgetful. For reacreation, there was a games room including a pool table, a table tennis table, and various lawn games. A communal camp fire was set each night weather permitted, and marshmallow-toasting was encouraged! A communal "paella evening" was available one night, which unfortunately we weren't able to experience due to being on a day out.The site also included a small farm, with children able to visit the animals (goats, chickens, ducks, rabbits) under supervision. This also provided a supply of fresh eggs available for purchase!In the local area (within a 15-minute walk) were 2 pubs, a number of takeaays, and a Co-Op supermarket, providing for almost every need. A Morrisons and Aldi were within a 15-minute drive if needed. A special mention needs to go to a local farm cafe - Atlanticway Bude Farmshop. This was a lovely little farmshop / cafe less than 10 minutes from the site, which does some amazing smoothies, cakes and cream teas.Well worth a visit.Nearby Bude has a small beach which had some great waves for teaching my son bodyboarding, and shops which provided all manner of beach gear. The cafes in town were more than sufficient, with the Atlantic Diner getting return visits - I can definitely recommend their chilli burgers.Overall, this was a great site, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit, despite choosing the wettest weekend in August to visit.

Wonderful stay, highly recommended.This is a really lovely, quiet site with great facilities and is in a superb geographical location.We booked 4 nights in a yurt and we were not disappointed. The yurt had a very comfortable bed with really lovely linen, a wood burning stove (which sadly, we didn't need to use) plus all the other bits and pieces to make your stay so easy (cutlery, crockery, fridge, BBQ, garden table and chairs etc). Lovely clean shared washroom facilities and nice hot shower.We saw some guests around a central fire pit one night which looked great but we were too tired from exploring to join in!There is so much to see and do from this location - we had a day out in Padstow, went to the Eden Project, visited the ancient ruins at Tintagel, swam in the Bude Sea Pool and enjoyed a couple of other really lovely beaches too that are close by.Hot and sunny weather helped us enjoy our stay but we were a bit disappointed not to light the fire which (not having one at home) would have been a real treat!!! Maybe next time. We'll definitely visit again and would highly recommend the whole experience.Louise.

Really enjoyed our 3 days here. The yurt was more than furnished - it had everything you could possibly need and made for a comfortable yet quirky stay. Lovely beaches close by with fantastic places to eat and drink.

We stayed for a few days and enjoyed every minute. Lovely friendly owners who couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable. Will definitely go back when work commitments allow! Thank you xx The yurts were well maintained as was the cooking facilities and shower cubicles. Look forward to seeing you again!
